The 6th International Conference on Energy and Power (ICEP2026) will be hosted through a collaboration between the Solar Research Institute (SRI), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, in association with the Australian Society of Energy and Power (ASEP) and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne, Australia. The conference will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 6–7 December 2026 and will be held as an in-person event.
This conference welcomes academics, representatives from government agencies, the private sector, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, students, and the general public to present research and studies on topics related to energy and power. It will cover the broad field of energy and power technologies across all engineering and scientific disciplines. ICEP2026 will be an ideal venue to learn about recent developments in power, energy and related technologies. The conference themes encompass all aspects of fundamental and applied research in energy and power, but are not limited to:
(a) Conventional Energy: fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas—LNG & CNG), combustion, power generation, waste heat recovery, energy efficiency, gasification, pyrolysis.
(b) Renewable Energy: wind energy, solar energy, hydro energy, biofuel, geothermal energy, ocean and tidal energy.
(c) Nuclear Energy, Engineering and Science: power reactors, thermal hydraulics and heat transfer, nuclear safety, nuclear fuels and materials, nuclear waste and radiation management, nuclear propulsion, radioisotopes, medical and health physics, nuclear education, and training.
(d) Energy Storage, Transmission and Distribution: energy storage, batteries and fuel cells, power transmission and distribution, smart grid and metering, power networks and SCADA systems, fault monitoring, predictive maintenance, safety and security.
(e) Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Technologies: energy conversion and efficiency, low-carbon technology, CO2 capture, energy harvesting and scavenging, carbon mitigation technologies, building energy technologies, building thermal performance, HVAC systems, phase change materials, green computing, green transport, electric vehicles.
(f) Energy Economics, Policy, and Management: energy economics, energy finance, energy trading, energy transportation, energy safety, energy policy and management, energy security, intelligent energy systems, energy cooperation and sustainable development.
(g) Petroleum and Mining Engineering: exploration, development, drilling, extraction, production, reservoir engineering; processing, refining, mine safety, mine water management, mine environmental impact management, trail management, mine rehabilitation and revegetation.
Papers accepted and presented at ICEP2026 will be eligible for the conference proceedings with an e-ISBN. An additional payment, complying with the editor and journal quality review requirements, may render the paper eligible for publication in selected journals as listed below:
- Journal of Mechanical Engineering (JMechE), UiTM (ISSN: 1823-5514, e-ISSN 2550-164X) (indexed by MyJurnal, MyCITE, SCOPUS, ACI, and Google Scholar)
- PaperASIA Journal (indexed by Scopus) (ISSN 0218-4540)
